This template is used to check whether certain [[:Category:Notice templates|page notices]] have been present for a certain amount of time. When past this time period, the page will be added to [[:Category:Pages with expired notices]].

==Parameters==
*first unnamed parameter: the date the notice was added. If missing or blank, the page will be added to [[:Category:Pages with missing notice dates]]. If passing through a template parameter, it should be passed piped, e.g. <code><nowiki>{{notice timer|{{{date|}}}}}</nowiki></code>.
