The War of the Orders was fought between a rump coalition anchored by NPO and a coalition consisting of the New Polar Order's sphere and most of the former Equilibrium coalition. The war began as a result of diplomatic maneuvers made by the New Sith Order against NpO and lingering displeasure with NPO's coalitional leadership in the Equilibrium War.
