The War of the Coalition was the result of internecine rivalries withing NPO's broader sphere of influence and growing external opposition to that sphere. It pitted a large coalition led by One Vision and the Continuum against an alliance comprised of the New Polar Order's sphere of influence and the Complaints and Grievances Union. Although the war ended in a decisive victory for the coalition, its aftermath saw the gradual erosion of NPO's global influence.
