This page contains the documentation for Template:Notice timer. It includes information about the template, such as usage and categories, and is not displayed when using the template itself.

This template is used to check whether certain page notices have been present for a certain amount of time. When past this time period, the page will be added to Category:Pages with expired notices.

Parameters

  • first unnamed parameter: the date the notice was added. If missing or blank, the page will be added to Category:Pages with missing notice dates. If passing through a template parameter, it should be passed piped, e.g. {{notice timer|{{{date|}}}}}.
  • second unnamed parameter: the amount of time the notice should be present before marking it as expired. The default is one year. This must be formatted such as "1 week" or "6 months". For more information, see mw:Help:Extension:ParserFunctions##time.
