The Doom-RFD War began on June 25, 2022 when the {CNp|Freehold of The Wolves}} and North Atlantic Treaty Organization declared war on Friends of Doom, made up of Doom Wolves, Doom Squad and DoomBird DoomCave in retaliation for raids previously conducted by Doom forces.
Background
On November 9, 2020 DBDC posted an announcement in which they "declared war on all nations, except for those we don't".[1] Upset that Doom forces raided as they wished, seeing little retaliation due to their ties, NATO and FTW responded with a declaration of war on June 25, 2022 against all Doom alliances.[2]
War Progress
War commenced on June 25 as NATO and FTW nations struck their Doom opponents. Shortly after the New Polar Order announced that they were severing their treaties with Non Grata, Freehold of The Wolves and NATO.[3] Following the outbreak of war, NPO cancelled the Northwest Passage Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact with NATO. [4]
After mobilizing their forces, counter attacks began with CLAWS declaring war on June 26[5], followed by the New Pacific Order and The Dark Templar on June 28.[6]
Legion joined the war at 11pm server time on July 1, activating their treaty with FTW and attacking NPO.[7] July 3 saw Sparta enter with a declaration of war against NPO.[8]
