The New Planetary Order has had a presence in Astro Empires since 2006 in the Alpha Server.
Originally founded as Imperium by Ivan Moldavi, it would change its name to the New Planetary Order in approximately January 2007. NPO leaders or members such as Ivan Moldavi, Unlimited, and Miramicha would serve as Emperors of the New Planetary Order in its early days. However, this branch would split from the NS and CN branches in the intervening years, retaining the New Planetary Order name but largely drifting apart from the rest of the community. The guild appears to have rebranded again as The Imperium sometime in the late 2010s or early 2020s, but as of August 2025 appears defunct.
