This page contains the documentation for Template:TOC limit. It includes information about the template, such as usage and categories, and is not displayed when using the template itself.
This template is used to limit the level of headings that are displayed in the page's table of contents. This is useful when there are many low-level headings in order to make the TOC more usable and the page less cluttered. The only parameter specifies the lowest level to show and can be omitted. It may not work as intended if the heading hierarchy is not correct (there should be no level 1 headings). The TOC will appear where the template is placed, which should typically be its natural position, after the lead section before the first heading.
Parameters
- first unnamed parameter - the lowest level of heading to include in the table of contents. Defaults to 3, i.e. the first subheading level.
