This page contains the documentation for Template:Maintenance category. It includes information about the template, such as usage and categories, and is not displayed when using the template itself.

This template is used to mark a category that should usually be empty, as it is used for maintenance of wiki pages. This adds Category:Maintenance and will also hide the category from Special:UnusedCategories.

Parameters

  • first unnamed parameter - the name of the template that adds pages to this category. If multiple or none, you can leave this blank and the link will not be shown.
  • links - if more than one template adds the category, you can use this parameter to list them manually.
  • hidden - define this parameter to mark the category as hidden.
  • system - define this parameter if the category is added automatically by MediaWiki.
  • cat - supplying a category name here will replace the default category that the template adds, intended to be used for subcategories. Do not include the "Category:" prefix. This cannot be empty.
