The Legio Pacifica is the military of the New Pacific Order. It is one of the largest and most active military organizations in NationStates.

History

In the early days of the New Pacific Order, it did not have a standing military, as it was focused on defending the Order.^[1]. A People's Militia formed on November 1, 2004^[2] after the PRP's allies, USSR, came under attack from the Alliance Defense Network.^[3]. Following the refounding of the New Pacific Order, the Pacific Army (a name formerly held by the remnants of the pre-NPO regime in The Pacific) was formed. Records of leadership before 2009 are sparse. Kharkistania served as Commandant of the Pacific Army until October 13, 2009, when he was replaced by Muffasavil.^[4].

On January 2, 2010, the Pacific Army was renamed as the Pacific Intel Corps.^[5] It was closed for new recruits on September 26, 2010.^[6] It relaunched as The Pacific Army sometime before March 2011, and Limitless Events was appointed commander on March 23, 2011.^[7]. Limitless Events was raised to Senator in charge of the Pacific Army on June 3, 2011.^[8]. On January 28, 2012, Kronisis announced an upcoming restructure of The Pacific Army.^[9]. The Pacific Army was renamed the Pacific Expeditionary Forces around mid-2013.^[10]

On August 11, 2015, new Emperor Ivan Moldavi renamed the military as the Revolutionary Guard of the Pacific and appointed former Emperor Krulltopia as Senator overseeing it.^[11] On February 9, 2016, Ivan Moldavi issued a new Charter, once again renaming the Pacific Expeditionary Forces into the Pacific Army (also known as the Revolutionary Guard) and renaming Krulltopia's title "Praetor."^[12]. Karenus would take the position of Praetor in late 2016.

The Pacific Army would be rechristened as the Legio Pacificus in late 2016 or early 2017, replacing the Pacific Expeditionary Force.^[13] by Pergamon to replace the Pacific Expeditionary Force. In its early days, it was involved in Lazarus. The Legio was also involved in the war in St Abbaddon against The Black Hawks. Following the resignation of Aleisyr and his replacement by Lord of Darkness, Xoriet took command of the newly-renamed Legio Pacifica. Legio Pacifica was engaged in war with Lazarus and The Augustin Alliance in the Warzones, including Warzone Airspace. During this time, Marina served as Praefectus to assist in rebuilding the Legio Pacifica. The Legio helped engage to fight the attempted coup in The East Pacific. Marina was appointed Senator of Military Affairs in February 2020, replacing Xoriet.

Dimitri was appointed Senator to replace Marina in February 2021.^[14] He was joined by Ender was appointed Senator of Military Affairs in March 2022^[15]. During this time, the Legio engaged in numerous military campaigns, including anti-fascist campaigns, Arkana Coalition, and Lonia Kreptor Llor. Ender retired as Senator of Military Affairs in June 2025 and was replaced by Greatkitteh, who was appointed a month earlier.^[16]

Senator of Military Affairs		Member of the Senate charged with the governance and operation of the Legio Pacifica. This nation has ultimate authority outside of the Emperor to order, command, and engage in military operations outside of the Pacific.
Praefectus		The officer considered second-in-command in the Legio Pacifica by the Praetor or the member of the Senate presently commanding the Legio.
Centurio		Experienced and capable officer, a leader on the battlefield.
Decanus		New officer, with some leadership capabilities.
Evocatus		Senior troops, the experienced elite of the Legio.
Miles Gregarius		The foot soldier, with some experience or a training certification.
Recruit		The newly-added members of the Legio.
