The Citrus War was fought between the New Pacific Order and Orange Defense Network shortly after their respective arrivals in Cyber Nations.
Prelude
The two alliances had been founded by rival groups from NationStates and they brought their rivalry and mutual animosity with them to CN. Two primary causes sparked the war against the backdrop of animosity felt by both; one of the oldest nations at that time to launch a nuclear attack against a member state of the NPO, additionally a spy with links to the ODN was uncovered.
Progress of the War
The ODN were offered surrender terms three times in the course of the war. The first time on March 2, the NPO pulled the terms off the table when it was discovered there was a second ODN spy in the NPO ranks.
ODN voted down the second set of terms due to two clauses, those being that ODN would not be allowed to own nuclear weapons and every member had to swear an oath of non-aggression to the Emperor of the Order.
The ODN came back to the table with lesser terms which the NPO rejected. Many of the ODNers left over the next few days being tired and fed up with the war.
Aftermath
The ODN accepted the NPO's third terms of surrender by General Assembly vote (68%) on April 12, which required ODN nations to take an oath of non-aggression and pay a reparation sum of 500,000 dollars but allowed for nuclear weapons to be owned by ODN nations.
