The First Arctic War (also known as the Arctic War or First Polar War) was fought between the New Pacific Order against the blue team alliance the National Alliance of Arctic Countries.

Prelude

Leading up to the war there was a lot of tension between the newly formed NAAC and NPO alliance. With the move from NationStates, the NPO was a well established alliance and was able to secure power in the new world rather quickly. Verbal posturing erupted from both sides and it culminated with a declaration of war.

War Progress

The war saw the first innovation in combat in Cyber Nations, commencing with the midnight "blitz" from the New Pacific Order.

While the war was effectively won that night, it took several days before the NAAC surrendered.

Aftermath

The terms stipulated that the NAAC were to accept a Viceroy to help stabilize the alliance and help to make them prosper. Tygaland was appointed as the viceroy to serve the NAAC. The NAAC were officially released from their surrender terms on March 20, 2006.
