Bobogoobo (usually nicknamed Bobo) has been a member of the New Pacific Order since July 10, 2011, after joining in Cyber Nations, and is a member of multiple branches. Bobogoobo is also sometimes known as Viisbyxa (previously spelled Viisbyax and originally Viisbya), or the ruler name Robert O'Goobo XXIV. They also went by the name Lyra_Heartstrings in IRC for a time until moving on to Discord. Bobogoobo's primary contributions have been in wiki editing and cultural activity. They currently serve as a Wiki Author in the Media Department and an administrator of the NPOWiki.

Background

"Bobogoobo" comes from a puzzle clue in the video game Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. The ruler name expands the "Bob" and adds a reference to Final Fantasy X. "Viisbyxa" is also a reference to Final Fantasy X, as well as Kingdom Hearts II, in spirit (this was added from the original form of the name). Lyra Heartstrings is a background character in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Clearly, all of Bobogoobo's names and interests are highly influenced by their favorite media at the time.

Bobogoobo has a history of fluctuating levels of activity and interest in various areas, especially due to becoming involved at a young age. They did not tend to keep leadership positions for very long (or did not accomplish much after a short initial period) and have been less involved in game mechanics for several years. Bobogoobo kept detailed records of their history for a long time, but eventually became more lax, particularly due to the time required.

Bobogoobo began playing Cyber Nations on September 26, 2007, and has maintained the same nation since. They couldn't come up with a clever ruler name at the time, so used the same name. Bobogoobo first joined The Democratic Order because the neutral policy outlined in their recruitment message was appealing, and remained for two years, along the way meeting lifelong friend Rychro Anrise.

Bobogoobo is a Bureaucrat (a step above Administrator) on the CN Wiki. They have received two awards for their work on the wiki: one independent and one from the NPO. On September 28, 2010, Hime Themis of Dulra, of the Order of the Black Rose, granted awards to select individuals as part of an anniversary celebration. Under the category of "Service to Digiterra", one of the awardees was Bobogoobo, "who has worked tirelessly with the other unrecognized heros who keep up the amazing task of providing our Wiki with clarity and accuracy." On November 21, 2011, Bobogoobo was awarded the Media Excellence Award by Lord of Darkness "in recognition of their hard work." Upon the launch of Singularity this award was converted to the level of Pillar of Pacifica.

New Pacific Order (CN)

Bobogoobo applied to the New Pacific Order on July 6, 2011, and was approved on July 9.

Bobogoobo serves as a Wiki Author in Media, which was later restructured and became cross-branch. They held positions in several departments while exploring the different areas available, including becoming a Praetorian while the department was invite-only, a Coordinator in the Media Corps, and a brief time as a Lieutenant in MilCom. Bobogoobo also took an interest in Franco's Star and attempted to assist in efforts to revitalize it.

Bobogoobo fought in several wars for the Order and has sent many billions in foreign aid to comrades and allies. (Statistics as of the end of 2015: wars and aid.)

NationStates

Bobogoobo created their first nation in NationStates on August 14, 2007. That nation is currently a resident of The Pacific and a citizen of the New Pacific Order. Bobogoobo's first region was Concosia, which they chose from telegrams they received. When that region became inactive years later, Bobogoobo created a new nation, Viisbyax, to join Equinox at the suggestion of long-time Concosian friend Xaniren (known as Akrine in Equinox). Bobogoobo held many government positions in Equinox and retains a nation in the region, which has been inactive for years despite revival attempts but is still beloved by its community.

Like in Cyber Nations, Bobogoobo originally remained neutral in military affairs, but later had brief stints in military outfits when becoming bored with the game. They started out defending, but tried non-destructive raiding as well to get more involved.

New Pacific Order (NS)

Bobogoobo first joined the New Pacific Order in August 2011, a month after joining the Cyber Nations branch. They were convinced into joining the WA Committee upon approval of their application on August 4. In August 2013, they gave a lackluster and self-deprecating (likely stemming from mental health struggles) interview that was nevertheless published in the Pacific News Network as "The Devoted Comrade: Interview with Bobogoobo". Bobogoobo participated in the Pacific Expeditionary Forces,^{[citation needed]} as well as a handful of larger operations over the years when they were advertised to the general public or other branches, and possibly other activities. In the early years of their time in The Pacific, they were active in the spam games section, a regular favorite of theirs. They started a new Spam Points game and finished as runner-up to Feux when it was closed (Feb-July 2012), and won bronze when the following iteration (2012-2015) was closed. A series of "spam championships" followed, sponsored by Elegarth; the concept of a non-permanent spam game was new to Bobogoobo.

After the New Pacific Order forums were merged together, they had lost their citizen mask at some point, so they formally reapplied on August 4, 2020, and were accepted within the hour. Bobogoobo joined the Legio Pacifica on September 30, 2025. Their first operation as a Recruit took place that very night, and they were the first post-order jumper into the attempted fascist frontier region Beakmoor.

Project Terra

Bobogoobo joined the first incarnation of Project Terra, and the New Pacific Order's branch there, on July 12, 2011. Their nation ID was 398.

Bobogoobo rejoined the second incarnation of Project Terra on March 14, 2014. They applied and were accepted to the New Pacific Order on the same day. Bobogoobo's ruler name was Viisbyxa.

Pixel Nations

Bobogoobo joined Pixel Nations and applied to the New Pacific Order on June 1, 2013. They were accepted to the alliance on June 2. Their ruler name was Viisbyxa and nation ID was 10210.

Bobogoobo was a Propagandist starting on August 11, 2013, and an administrator on the Pixel Nations Wiki. (The PN Wiki was populated via import from the Cyber Nations Wiki, so much of the listed history was not done locally.) Bobogoobo created a guide on creating wiki pages for nations, as the game linked each nation to a wiki page automatically.

Torn

Bobogoobo joined Torn on October 30, 2020, and applied to the NPO. They were admitted to the NPO - Prosperity faction on November 1, 2020, and have remained there since (including two shell moves). Bobogoobo has participated (when timing allowed) in numerous ranked wars with the faction and briefly joined the Recruiting department (partly because the department was looking for people with access to advanced search), but found it unsuited for their strengths, and was slow to join any other department due to time constraints. They joined the Order's investment program on May 23, 2025, which organizationally came with the title of Analyst in Pacific Financial.^{[citation needed]} Bobogoobo is also a regular donor to Pacific Financial and further contributed to the purchases of the 39th Street Killers XR shell and the first Endurance shell (later Serenity; excess funds from this also went towards the purchase of {{Tornp|NPO - Peace|Peace}).

Bobogoobo won second place in a meme competition run by Happy_as and voted by the membership, announced on March 22, 2023.

Other

Bobogoobo joined Pacific Gaming and joined the later experiment with an informal branch in Lost Ark.
